Possible solution
by: Donna

Hi,
This problem with Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11.n WLAN Mini Card Rev.2.0 can be solved by updating the driver.

The Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11.n WLAN Mini Card Rev.2.0 driver version that Dell pre-installed on the system and when I was seeing the issue is:
v4.102.15.61

I upgraded the driver by downloading it from Dell Download page and it fixed the issue. The Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11.n WLAN Mini Card Rev.2.0 now connects fast and no more disconnection. The driver that fixed this issue is v4.170.25.17.

Hope it'll solve yours also.

Hoi friend,

Thanks for your reply. Actually the wireless card works properly, the problem is just about the speed. My friend who has better connection also stay close to the wireless router(that's why). The rest who live in the same floor with me, use different wireless network that I use(different provider let's say).

As I notice, the wireless network configuration is 802.11 b, and my wireless card has 802.11 n. It might be possible somehow that is not so compatible, then sometimes it get disconnected. Now, I try to use External Wireless Adapter from Hawking,HWUN 1, that support 802.11 b/g/n. It run faster than ever.

Again, thanks for your reply.

Regards,

Richard N.

Replace your card
by: Anonymous

If your friend in same distance and rooms as you doesn't have this problems, then something is wrong with your wireless card. I am sure that this is not general problem with this Dell wireless card model. Try to replace it in a store where you have bought it.
