Setting up Wireless Router
When you know IP address and login password of your wireless router, you can start Setting up Wireless Router.
1) Click on the Wireless LAN to configure the Wireless parameters.
2) Click Enable Wireless LAN.
If you click on the Block traffic between WLAN and LAN, PC on the wired network could not reach PC on the wireless network.
3) Choose your SSID (Network Name). Common security mistake in Setting up Wireless Router is to leave default SSID. Please change it. It is for your concern.
4) Hide SSID option is to disable broadcast SSID. Your neighbors would not see your AP. But if you leave default SSID, it will be an easy target.
You could choose the channel on which AP transmits. But leave AP to do it automatically.
5) WEP Encryption is very easy to crack - check here, so use WPA instead.
Setting up Wireless Router is best with WPA.
6) Choose 802.1x/WPA link on your wireless router.
You could change a ReAuthentication Timer and the Idle Timeout. Default settings are 1800 and 3600 seconds. Remember that, if you change these values, you will have to put the same on wireless card. Driver for my wireless card does not allow changing these values, so I left default ones.
In drop down menu Key Management Protocol I have chosen WPA-PSK. This is WPA with pre-shared key.
For Pre-Shared key enter 8-63 characters. Put the 63 characters with combination of upper and lower case with numbers. The best way is to generate the random phrase.
7) Click on MAC filtering. Enter MAC address of stations that you use in a MAC address table.

Physical Address (00-15-00-12-CD-FC) is your MAC address. Setting up Wireless Router is maybe boring for you, but be patient. When you finish it once, you will not have to change configuration any more.
