Finding out wireless router IP address.



I will give you a small advice, for Finding out wireless router IP address.

1) Connect PC and your Wireless device with the UTP cable.
Set up your PC to obtain IP address automatically. This is the default setting. You will get IP address from your Wireless Router (from its DHCP server).

2) Click on Start and then Run.
Type cmd. In command prompt type ipconfig.



C:>ipconfig

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix. :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.30
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1




IP address of PC is 192.168.1.30, and Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1. Default gateway is in fact your Wireless Router. So, IP address of your default gateway is 192.168.1.1.

Vendors usually use 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1, but with the previous procedure you could find out easy IP address of your Wireless Router. With IP address of your device you can start setting up wireless router with web browser.

3) Enter IP address of Wireless Router in your web browser.





After typing a password you will get the home page. Now you can start Setting up your Wireless Router.
